DAY 1 – Arrival in Istanbul
Upon arrival in Istanbulr transfer to the hotel, where you will be briefed by your travel consultant with the remainder of day at leisure to relax &/or check out the city. Overnight in Istanbul.
DAY 2 – Byzantian & Ottoman Relics Tour (B,L)
Your day will commence with a visit to the ancient Byzantine Hippodrome where you will tour the Egyptian Obelisk, Serpentine Column, Fountain of Wilhelm II, the elegant Blue Mosque famous with its heavenly six minarets and the Hagia Sophia Museum, built during the reign of Emperor Theodosius and burned down in the fire of Nika Revolt in 532 A.D. Then you will have a visit to the Underground Cistern, which known as the Basilica Cistern during the Roman period, as there was a Stoa Basilica above the pre-existing one at the time. Lunch will be served at Topkapi Palace, in a restaurant with panoramic view of the Bosphorus, Asia & Europe. After lunch you will be guided to visit the residence and administrative center of the Ottoman Sultans. Historical tour of Istanbul will conclude with a visit to the Grand Bazaar, exploring a labyrinth of streets and passages housing more than 4,000 shops. After the tour you will be leaded back to your hotel. Overnight in Istanbul.
DAY 3 – Flight to Izmir / Ephesus Ancient City Tour (B,L,D)
Once check-out is complete, we will arrange for your transfer to Istanbul Ataturk Airport for the flight to Izmir (55min) on the West Coast of Turkey. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by your guide, who will arrange for you to be driven to Ephesus Ancients City, a city adorned with splendid monuments, theaters, agoras and libraries. Before lunch your guide will take you to the Temple of Artemis, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, following on to The Basilica of St. John, an illustrious church located in Ephesus and constructed by Emperor Justinian in the 6th century. The day concludes with a visit to the House of the Virgin Mary, located between Ephesus and Selcuk. After the tour you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Kusadasi.
DAY 4 – Pamukkale & Hierapolis Tour / Travel to Cappadocia (B,L)
Upon check-out from your hotel, your guide will arrange for you to be driven inland to Pamukkale, well known for its Natural Hot Water Springs with legendary healing properties. As the site resembles piles of cotton, the Turkish translation for Pamukkale is \'Cotton Castle\'. From here you will visit the travertines, and then onto the ancient city of Hierapolis, which hosts one of the largest Necropolis (with 1200 tombs) in Anatolia. At the end of today’s tour, you will be transferred to local bus terminal to catch the overnight intercity coach to Cappadocia. (Flights via Istanbul are also available ).
DAY 5 – North Cappadocia Tour (B,L)
Upon arrival in Cappadocia, you will be met and transferred to your hotel with time to freshen up before your next tour. In the morning section of the Cappadocia tour, you will visit Three Beauties, Urgup Town, Red Valley (Panorama) & also join for a trekking at Kiliclar Valley which will take around 1hr 30mins. After lunch break at local restaurant, your day tour will continue with the visits of Avanos Village & Old Streets, Kizilirmak River, join a Discovery Series “Art of Pottery in Asia Minor” event , Devrent Valley, Pasabag Valley & Goreme Open Air Museum. With the conclusion of the day tour, you will be driven to your hotel. Tonight will offer you the wonderful opportunity to sleep in a traditional Cappadocian cave hotel. Overnight in Cappadocia.
DAY 6 – South Cappadocia Tour / Flight to Istanbul (B,L)
On your second day in Cappadocia region, you will visit Mustafa Pasa Village, Kaymakli Underground City, Ortahisar Castle & Village, Piegon Valley, Uchisar Castle, Esentepe View Point & Goreme Village. Lunch will be served at local restaurant at Ortahisar Village. On this days Discovery Series you will join “Art of Turkish Carpets” event at the end of the tour. Then you will be transferred to Kayseri/Nevsehir Airport for the domestic flight to Istanbul. Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 7 – Istanbul / Departure (B)
Breakfast, check-out & transfer to Istanbul International Airport as per your onward flight schedule.
